Mango wanted to know what happened afterwards… She didn’t see this coming.
Uilleam woke slowly, feeling boneless and relaxed. He was wearing nothing but his boxers. Even in the dim light spilling through the bathroom door, he could tell that this wasn’t his room. He turned over sluggishly and stared.
Dorchadas lay curled beside him, one arm tucked beneath his head, breathing slowly. Uilleam’s eyes widened. “Oh shit…” he pushed himself up right and scrambled out of the bed. He made it halfway to the bedroom door before someone caught him around the waist. “Let go of me.”
“Calm down,” Dorchadas grunted, hauling the young man around and carrying him back to the bed. “You’re overreacting.”
“Overreacting!” Uilleam shouted. “I made out with my dad’s husband!”
“I’m technically not Thackery, so…”
“Technically… YOU SHARE THE SAME FUCKING BODY!”
“Again, only some of the time.” Dorchadas tapped his finger against the young man’s forehead, pushing him backwards onto the bed. “But not right now. You gave me enough energy to split from Thackery. Hence the reason why we’re at my apartment.”
“Your apartment?” Uilleam’s eyebrow rose.
“As much as I love Mally, he can’t be my only meal. He and Thackery agreed that I could split from Thackery when needed and go search for my own food.” The demon grinned. “Which, tonight, is you.”
Uilleam shook his head. “I’m not your dinner…” he managed.
“You want to be.” Dorchadas leaned over him, touching his cheek. “I’m good at reading people, kit, and you want nothing more than to be wanted. A bastard child, all you’ve ever wanted is to be wanted. To not be an afterthought.” He trailed his thumb along the younger man’s cheek, bending his head to kiss his lips gently. “I can’t always be here… my powers are limited… but… I’ll be what you need, Uilleam.”
“You…” Uilleam started to shake his head, tears stinging his eyes.
“I can love you, if that’s what you want… I don’t have much to offer, only myself… and I can never truly be… Real.” He leaned down, kissing him again. “But if you want me, I’m yours.”
Uilleam sighed quietly. “this isn’t going to end well…” he whispered. “I’m going to hell for this…”
Dorchadas smiled. “Nothing fun ever ends well… but we’re going to have a blast earning our place there.”
